Motorcycles of the Great War

One of the vehicles used heavily in the First World War was the motorcycle, which was a replacement for the horse for scouts and couriers. American soldiers used Indian and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, which produced around 15 horsepower and had 2.5 gallon fuel tanks.

Nearly 50,000 Indian motorcycles and over 20,000 Harleys were used by the American military, making them extremely common. Capable of 60 miles per hour (approximately 100 kilometers per hour) on good, hard ground, they were quick, nimble vehicles that were highly useful.

For combat, use the motorcycle rule on page 220 and the firing at riders rule on page 204 of the v2.2 rulebook.
